Class Governance

FIU Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) students are encouraged to participate in university and college governance activities. Each entering class nominates and elects its own officers, including a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. Together, they represent the interests and address concerns of fellow students at the departmental, college and university levels through healthy dialogue and collaboration with faculty advisors and administrators.

Class governance also helps guide and plan for events and activities that serve the community at large. Individual classes must consult with the college’s Director of Admissions & Student Services before planning fundraising activities.
